Perpetual Present is one of the musical aliases of UK DJ/Producer Neil Gray. Although initially rooted in the Breaks scene, you can expect deviations into multiple genres, adopting a wild style philosophy to both music and life in general. His sound is characterized by big basslines, chunky beats and psychedelic-tinged melodies & FX, fusing together a fiendish cocktail of influences to entertain the dancefloor and beyond. Beginning his musical journey as a guitarist and then drummer in the late 90’s, he became gradually more drawn to the huge sounds of fusion acts like the Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers and Pendulum. After completing a degree in Electronics & Music Technology from the University of York in 2005 and then moving to Manchester, Neil co-founded the underground breaks label Acidphonic Records.
